The LTC487CSW is a low power single supply RS485/RS422 transceiver in 20-pin SSOP package. It operates over a wide voltage range of 3V to 5.5V and has a low power shutdown mode for power saving applications. The device provides differential communication with high immunity to noise and interference, making it suitable for industrial control systems, instrumentation, and communication networks. The LTC487CSW features fail-safe circuitry which ensures a high output state when the inputs are open, shorted, or undriven.
