3090A35 General Description

For environments that demand explosion-proof or intrinsically safe sensors, the Hazardous Location VRS sensor 3090A35 is the optimal choice. These Passive VRS Magnetic Speed sensors are designed to be rugged and reliable, requiring no external voltage source for operation. The sensor's output signal is an ac voltage that varies in amplitude and wave frequency as the speed of the monitored device changes, typically expressed in peak to peak voltage (Vp-p). With one complete waveform occurring as each target passes the sensor’s pole piece, the output signal resembles a sine wave when viewed on an oscilloscope if a standard gear were used as a target. Honeywell offers a range of VRS sensors, including general purpose, high output, power output, high resolution, high temperature, and low-cost molded versions
