FNA40860 General Description

ON Semiconductor proudly introduces the FNA40860, the latest offering in its Motion SPM® 45 series, designed to meet the demand for a compact and high-performance inverter solution in low-power applications. This advanced product is tailored for use in AC motor drives for appliances such as air conditioners and refrigerators, boasting a seamless integration of low-loss short-circuit rated IGBTs and optimized gate drivers within a fully isolated package. This ensures a robust and reliable design that meets the exacting standards of modern appliances. The FNA40860 also incorporates additional features aimed at enhancing system reliability, including built-in temperature monitoring with NTC, integrated under-voltage lock-out function for both high and low sides, and over-current protection input. Moreover, with three separate open-emitter pins for low side IGBTs, the FNA40860 enables three-leg current sensing, increasing its versatility and usability. The presence of built-in bootstrap diodes and dedicated VS pins further simplifies PCB layout, making the design process a breeze.
