The Intersil HD-15530 is a cutting-edge CMOS device meticulously designed to meet the stringent requirements of MIL-STD-1553 and other Manchester II encoded, time division multiplexed serial data protocols. This versatile LSI chip is strategically divided into two distinct sections, an Encoder and a Decoder, which function autonomously except for the Master Reset operations. The Encoder is responsible for generating the sync pulse, parity bit, and encoding the data bits, while the Decoder is tasked with recognizing and decoding the sync pulse, identifying it, and verifying parity. With an assurance of support for the 1MHz data rate of MIL-STD-1553 across varying temperature and voltage conditions, the HD-15530 seamlessly interfaces with CMOS, TTL, or N channel support circuits, facilitating smooth operation with a standard 5V supply.
