The LTM8042EV#PBF is a highly efficient μModule® (power module) Boost LED Driver designed to deliver up to 1A of power to drive LEDs, while the LTM8042-1 is capable of driving up to 350mA. Its unique current loop enables it to operate as a constant-current source, making it an ideal choice for LED applications requiring precise current regulation. Additionally, the PWM input allows for up to 3000:1 LED dimming, while analog dimming of up to 10:1 can be achieved by applying a single resistor or analog voltage to the CTL pin. It is important to note that, like any boost topology, the LTM8042/LTM8042-1 does not tolerate short-circuits or overloads from the output to ground, so careful consideration should be given to the overall system design to prevent such conditions
