MCP9903T-2E/9Q General Description

The MCP9903T-2E/9Q is a high accuracy, low-cost temperature sensor designed for complex environmental monitoring applications. With advanced features such as Resistance Error Correction (REC) and Beta Compensation, this sensor provides a robust solution for monitoring temperature in modern processors. The MCP9903T-2E/9Q can monitor three temperature channels with ±1ºC accuracy for both external and internal diode temperatures. Its Resistance Error Correction feature automatically eliminates temperature errors caused by series resistance, allowing for greater flexibility in routing thermal diodes. Additionally, the Beta Compensation feature eliminates temperature errors caused by low, variable beta transistors common in today's fine geometry processors. The sensor also includes automatic diode type detection, which determines the optimum sensor settings for accurate temperature measurements regardless of processor technology, freeing the user from providing unique sensor configurations for each application. With its advanced features and ±1°C measurement accuracy, the MCP9903T-2E/9Q provides a low-cost, highly flexible, and accurate solution for critical temperature monitoring applications
