Building upon the success of its predecessors, this latest iteration leverages a comprehensive set of protocols developed for WinPath1 and WinPath2, covering L2 and L3 termination, PWE3, Packet Network Synchronization, interworking, OAM, QoS, and more. With a focus on integration, WinPath3 combines control plane and enhanced data plane processing components, featuring high-performance MIPS 34K multi-threaded processors for the control plane and new hardware accelerators for the data plane. These accelerators off-load common processing tasks and are flexibly combined with Microsemi's field-proven, fully-programmable, high performance, multi-threaded WinComm multi-core data path processor subsystem. The increase in the number of cores and operating speed in WinComm further enhances its performance, making it a robust and reliable solution for communication system deployments
